Proportional Trailer Brake Controller

The DirecLink NE (DL-200NE) is the network enhanced version of the DirecLink. It is designed for use with Tuson RV Brakes' ActuLink Electric-Hydraulic Actuator and ABS system. The DirecLink product line is the most advanced proportional trailer brake controller and diagnostic tool. Plugs directly into your tow vehicle’s computer network, automatically configuring your tow vehicle and trailer’s brake system. The large color display allows you to monitor your trailer brake’s system status and provides warnings when system errors or failures have happened.

Patented Digital Data Network

DirecLink NE, when used in combination with the ActuLink actuator, automatically creates a digital, two-way data network over the existing wires of your tow vehicle and towable. DirecLink NE lets you monitor the status of your towable brake system like never before.

Data and System Integrity

DirecLink NE’s data network sends braking data in a digital format to the ActuLink actuator and this information is verified with each rapid exchange of data. The DirecLink NE also monitors electrical connection and sensor data integrity to ensure the driver knows the exact status of the towable braking system.

But the feature which makes it truly revolutionary is that it is networked with your tow vehicle so it has the ability to brake in a collaborative way. The DirecLink Network puts the ActuLink brake actuator well above and beyond the competition.

    When the Unexpected Happens

    No other electric-hydraulic actuator is designed to help you when the unexpected happens. When the electrical connections go bad or the brake fluid leaks out a broken fitting, ActuLink sends an immediate alert to the display of the DirecLink NE. With other actuators, you don’t know about the problem until the trailer brakes stop working

    One of a Kind ABS Capability

    No other electric-hydraulic actuator has anti-lock towable braking capability. This capability reduces emergency stopping distance and greatly improves the stability of the towable during braking, especially in wet conditions.

    Self Monitoring Diagnostics

    • ActuLink is controlled by a network computer that is linked to internal and external sensors which monitor key parameters.
    • It is the only network connected electric-hydraulic actuator so all these parameters can be checked from the driver’s seat with the DirecLink NE. And, if a problem arises, a warning will automatically be displayed on the DirecLink NE
    • ActuLink, in combination with the DirecLink NE, is the only electric-hydraulic actuator that can monitor:
      • Brake fluid level
      • Actuator system temperature
      • Actuator low current condition
      • Actuator over current condition
      • Trailer battery volt level under load

    Bleeding the Brakes

    Need to bleed the trailer brake system and have no one to help out? DirecLink NE has a simple aid to make this possible. Plug a standard telephone extension cable (the length needed to reach the trailer brakes) into the Control Module of the DirecLink NE, unplug the Command Module from its spiral cable and plug it onto the other end of the extension cable. Now you can use the manual over-ride to actuate the brake system for bleeding.

    The Brake Controller We Recommend: DirecLink-200NE

    The ActuLink actuator is designed to function optimally with Tuson DirecLink-200NE Brake Controller (see brochure for more information), and we strongly encourage you to use this brake controller with the ActuLink actuator. When the ActuLink is paired together with the DirecLink-200NE, a two-way digital diagnostics network is established using the existing wiring of your tow vehicle and trailer. With the DirecLink-200NE, you can now monitor all the following diagnostics from the driver's seat:

    1. Brake fluid level
    2. Actuator system temperature
    3. Actuator low current condition
    4. Actuator over current condition
    5. Trailer battery volt level under load
    6. Trailer battery amp level under load
