It’s A Network Computer
It links with your tow vehicle’s computer network and uses multiple data parameters in a proprietary way to create amazingly proportional trailer braking.
Low-Speed Brake Adjustment
A unique feature of the DirecLink 100 and 200NE brake controller. Many drivers struggle to find a single brake scale setting that works to their satisfaction for all speeds covering highway and in-town driving. This forces the driver to either settle on one scale setting that works OK at high speed and does not lock the brakes up at low speeds or constantly change the settings. The Low-Speed Brake Adjustment is a secondary adjustment to the main “Brake Scale” setting. Once the main Brake Scale is set at the preferred braking level at highway speeds, the Low-Speed Brake Adjustment can be set to add or reduce the brake level at lower speeds. This allows for the proper amount of braking for both highway and in-town driving. Once the two adjustments are made, the DirecLink stores the settings in memory to keep them when the vehicle is turned off.
Easy Installation and Set-up
DirecLink automatically syncs with your tow vehicle - just plug it in and let it do the configuring for you. Raise or lower the level of braking and you’re ready to go. No holes to drill, no directional mounting.
Large Color Display
Updated TFT LCD color display for brighter, longer-lasting screen life and quality. The large color display makes it easy to use the DirecLink as a diagnostic tool for your towable brake system to ensure that all monitored functions are good or to resolve any problems.
Electric Drum or Hydraulic
DirecLink works with electric drum brakes and electric-hydraulic actuators, automatically configuring to match your trailer’s brake type.
Proven Technology
DirecLink uses exactly the same computer network that controls your car, truck or SUV so you can count on this proven technology. By linking the data of your tow vehicle to your trailer brake system, both vehicles work seamlessly together.
Real-Time Data
DirecLink maintains complete situational awareness because it continuously monitors your tow vehicle’s computer network. When you apply the brakes, it has a complete picture of what is happening. DirecLink creates precise braking curves to match the rapidly changing demands of your trailer brakes.

Customer Reviews
New to towing and pushing the limits of my little training truck (Chevy Colorado) to it's limits with about 6500 lbs of water and trailer on icy hills (Fairbanks, Alaska). Initially got an Echo Brake Controller, but the engagement never seemed right; it appeared to surge when I hit bumps while slowing down, and I had to brake much harder than I wanted to going down icy hills. I even got the remote brake button, but it kept losing bluetooth connection.
The Tuson Brake Controller, in contrast, engages smoothly and isn't grabby and lighter brake applications (rarely exceed 15-20%). Highly recommend. Installation was easy, and it looks decent.
So install is relatively straight forward, key is to depress the brake to get it to power up (almost missed that!). Being able to hold the trigger in your hand while driving is awesome for control, or at a minimum keep it mounted conveniently on dash. Automatic brake control seemed very consistent, no unusual extreme braking on turns (like another controller I had).
Device says no connection to the trailer but it is actuating the brakes, so expect it detected an open trailer brake magnet or high resistance in wiring which I never would have thought about on a 3 year old trailer, so I'll have to look into that.
So far I'm glad I bought this, as good as it gets! -Gio @ NJ 2011 Tacoma 20ft Wolf Pup
A factory brake controller was not an offered option in my 2016 Colorado it was not an option until 2018. I have been waiting for tech like this to come along g senor type brake controllers just did not work for me. The dl100 give more controlled and accurate braking
Thank you for your review. We are glad our brake controller works well for you.
Bought this for use on a Volvo VNL760 that we are towing our 5-th wheel trailer with.
Works beautifully. Just be aware that it requires an adaptor for use on semi trucks.
Highly recommended.
Easy straight forward install. Instructions were good. Installed on our Volvo VNL.
Thank you for the review. We are glad you found our instructions friendly.
